The Phi Phi Islands consist of 2 islands, Phi Phi Ley, and Phi Phi Don, and are situated 26nm to the south-east of Phuket and are by far the most popular day trip destination from Phuket. The stunning setting of Maya Bay on Phi Phi Ley makes the islands popular with its giant limestone cliffs plunging into the crystal clear waters, and sheltering an idyllic sandy beach. It was here that the movie “The Beach” starring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed.
Also on Phi Phi Leywe can cruise past Viking cave where the famous birds nests are harvested to make soups as well as Hong Pileh lagoon for some photographs.
A short trip across to Phi Phi Don, and guests can visit Monkey Beach, and take a walk to see the monkeys playing, and also have a swim and snorkel or they can opt to visit the small town of Ton Sai Bay with a few hotels, shops and bars are located.
Guests can also choose to visit Bamboo Island just off of Phi Phi or Koh Kai situated half way between Phi Phi and the Phuket mainland for once last swim before returning.
